In 1965 I would drive my 1950 Chevy down old Route 1 to the University of Richmond. I'd stop at Allman's in Fredericksburg for barbecue and became a customer for life. Route 70 West, Ijamsville
In late autumn, when I drive over Route 70 on Ijamsville Road, I am often treated to a wonderful sunset over the Catocin mountains. I'll pull the car onto the shoulder and climb out onto the overpass to capture the fading late afternoon light. For more information, click the image.
